Heath Ledger = Joker??

I read today that Heath Ledger has been cast as the Joker in the Batman sequel, which I find an interesting choice. Certainly about as far away from Jack Nicholson as one could conceivably get. Since I know we have a boatload of Batman fans on this site, I want to hear what everyone else thinks.

Myself, I'm just glad Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan will be returning. Christian Bale looked good in the first one....

i still haven't seen batman begins. mostly because i didn't really want to see yet another origin story. plus katie holmes has had tom cruise's penis inside her. and she gave birth to his devil-spawn. and thus she is tainted. not that she was all that great beforehand.

as for heath, i think it'll be interesting. i just hope they don't try to load up on the villains. and i hope that they don't bring Robin into the fray.

i also hope that we can achieve world piece and that there's some ice cream in my freezer.

I was hoping for Sean Penn. I think he would have done an excellent job. However, I like Mr. Ledger so I'm willing to give him a chance. He better step up to the plate, though.
